Dibaker Banerjee On Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar: Aditya Chopra Knew Arjun Wanted to Do Something Out Of His Comfort Zone-EXCLUSIVE
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar directed by Dibaker Banerjee is currently receiving loads of praises from all centers after its digital premiere on May 20 on Amazon Prime Video. The film starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra follows the story of two completely different individuals whose lives suddenly intertwine. Pinky played by Arjun Kapoor, is a Haryanvi Police Officer, while Sandeep Kaur is essayed by Parineeti Chopra, an ambitious girl from the corporate world. Both the actors are so perfectly cast in their respective roles; we couldn't help but ask the director if they were his first choice for the film

Talking to SpotboyE Dibaker answered, "Parineeti was my first choice and I had a list of one or two other performers and Arjun was on that list. Later Adi (Aditya Chopra) told me that I think Arjun is at the brink of wanting to do something extremely out of his comfort zone and I think he is willing to work extremely hard for it. So that tip sort of stayed with me and then Arjun and I had a chat and he came on board.

He added, "In a way, we sort of knew the story and we knew the zone we were going into. But this was a new thing and we all knew this was new, not in a good way we just realized that we were in the north pole without GPS something like that. Adi had predicted Arjun would dive into the role which is exactly what Arjun did so that’s how it started."

The film is currently streaming on the digital platform and has been getting an overwhelming response for the performances and the storyline. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar also stars Neena Gupta, Raghuvir Yadav, and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.
